Dr Hossain Mohammad
Dr Hossain Mohammad MBBS, MRCPsych, MSc is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with a strong academic and clinical background spanning more than a decade in NHS mental health services and additional experience in private practice. He holds dual Certificates of Completion of Training in General Adult Psychiatry and Old Age Psychiatry and is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Dr Mohammad completed extensive postgraduate training following his primary medical qualification, achieving an MSc in Biomedical Science, an MSc in Cerebrovascular Research and an MSc in Clinical Neuropsychiatry. This academic foundation informs his comprehensive understanding of the biological, neurological and psychological factors that contribute to mental health conditions.
His clinical experience spans both NHS and private sectors. He has worked within dedicated NHS ADHD services and currently practises as a private ADHD consultant alongside his NHS role. He is also a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist and serves as an Associate Clinical Director within a London NHS mental health trust.
Dr Mohammad has extensive experience in the assessment and management of a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, personality disorders, bipolar affective disorder, psychotic illnesses, affective psychosis, functional neurological disorders, functional presentations and neuropsychiatric conditions. He also has significant experience in the assessment and management of neurodegenerative disorders, including various forms of dementia in older adults.
He is committed to ongoing professional development and has attended international seminars and specialist lectures on ADHD to ensure his practice remains aligned with current research and global clinical standards.
Dr Mohammad is Section 12(2) approved under the Mental Health Act and has extensive experience conducting Mental Health Act assessments across London.
His approach is clinically thorough, evidence based and patient centred, drawing on his wide-ranging expertise to deliver clear, thoughtful and tailored assessments for each individual.
